Senior Drop In

Promotes interaction among different generations, mainly between youth and seniors, by doing activities together: cooking, crafting, playing games, sharing life skills

South Vancouver Family Place operates a licensed preschool - morning and afternoon programs. One program is offered in English plus a bilingual English and Chinese program is offered.

Congregated weekly meal for local seniors, 55 years and up.

Kiwassa operates a wide variety of multicultural, healthy, social, educational and recreational activities for seniors in the neighbourhood, including crafts, cards and games, health club days, swimming lessons, seniors' lunches, ESL and computer classes.

Chinese-speaking and Korean-speaking settlement workers are available for individual appointments for information, referral and assistance with form-filling. Group workshops are held on job finding, housing, health, education, citizenship, law and more.

The settlement workers are available to assist new immigrant families in the areas of information and resources, translation, referrals, workshops, adaptation counseling and social activities. Services available in English, Vietnamese, Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese, Filipino , Arabic, French and other...

Settlement services provided in Punjabi, Hindi, Vietnamese, Cantonese, Mandarin, Korean and other languages where translator available. Various on-site and off-site services, support, citizenship classes, ESL classes, one-to-one support, etc.

Weekly gathering for parents and children 0-12 years old to learn and share issues around parenting. Childcare available.
